ABOUT

     I was born in San Francisco as a third generation Californian. As a young child my family moved to Taos, New Mexico, where I grew up with a love of skiing and the outdoors. In my twenties I moved to Kauai, Hawaii where i developed a passion for surfing. In the year 2000 I found my way back to California and settled in Santa Barbara, which has been my home ever since. 

    My interest in massage therapy grew from my active lifestyle and my own experiences recovering from sports related injuries through bodywork. Inspired by the benefits I received, I enrolled in massage school in 2000 at Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute, and have been practicing ever since.

    I later met my wife Kristi Newton, a Santa Barbara native who is in development at the Kavli Institute of Theoretical Physics (KITP) at UC Santa Barbara. We have been married for 18 years and have had the joy of raising our two daughters Kira and Sierra here. We feel fortunate to call Santa Barbara home and to be part of such a great community.
